Admission Procedure

Registrations for the upcoming session commence from November until January. We offer admissions at entry level i.e. Nursery. However, admissions for classes KG-I onwards are strictly subject to the availability of seats.

2 . REGISTRATION PROCESS:

Our admission procedure commences with an announcement of registration for the next academic session. Parents are provided registration dates during which they can register their child by filling in a registration form and submitting relevant documents. Parents are charged a non-refundable registration fee after which the child is eligible for an entry test.

The process can be done by:

  1. Visiting the Admission Office.
  2. Downloading the form from our school website (theintellect.edu.pk).
  3. Filled Registration Form to be submitted online or to the admission office.

The following documents have to be submitted along with the registration form:

  1. Original Birth Certificate/Birth Certificate of the candidate and one photocopy.
  2. One photocopy of each, of the CNIC of the mother and father.
  3. Two recent photographs of the candidate (size 1×1) with the name of the candidate written clearly at the back.
  1. Report Card from the previous school.
  2. Two postal envelopes with the name and address of the candidate clearly written.

Please Note: Registration does not guarantee admission. Therefore, parents are strongly urged to apply to other schools as well. We look forward to a positive response and cooperation from you.

After the registration, children are then assessed/interviewed to gauge their eligibility for admission. Candidates applying for Class KG I and above are informed of the dates on which they will be required to give the admission test. There is no formal testing for children applying for Nursery. Admission is based jointly on interviews held with parents as well as behavioral assessments of the candidate.

After the admission tests are held, parents of successful candidates are subsequently interviewed. Parents are accordingly informed and are then given a deadline within which the pay order must be submitted. It is only after the submission of the pay order that admission is finalized.

3. ADMISSION TEST/INTERVIEW

  1. Parents of Nursery candidates will be interviewed.
  2. Candidates of KGI and KGII will be tested followed by the interview of the parents.
  3. Candidates of Grade I-III will be tested for the four subjects of the previous level i.e. English, Mathematics, Urdu, and Tajweed.
  1. Islamic coordinator or head of the campus will conduct interviews for students of grade IV onwards, simultaneously.
  2. Results are compiled and informed to parents through websites, phone calls, and lists pasted on the noticeboard.

4. ASSESSMENT CRITERIA:

    1. For Nursery level: Children applying for Nursery are too young to be formally tested. Therefore, the decision to offer admission or not to a particular child, depends on the interview held with the parents as well as the child’s behavioral assessment.
      At the time of parents’ interview, the child is invited to come along with the parents.
      The parent’s interview is conducted by the vice principal/coordinator while a well-experienced and trained teacher interacts with the child to gauge his/her motor skills, communication skills and overall body language.
      Subsequent decision to induct the child is based jointly on the child’s assessment and parent’s interview.
    2. Class KGI: Candidates are formally tested from class KGI onwards.Candidates for KGI are tested for only English and Math of Nursery’s level
    3. Class KGII: Candidates are tested for only English, Math and Urdu of the precious level.
    4. Class I-III: Candidates applying for admission in Class I-III are tested on English, Urdu, Math, and Tajweed.
    5. Class IV-VIII: Candidates applying for admission in Class IV-VIII are tested on English, Urdu and Math.

5. FEE SUBMISSION

    1. Parents of successful candidates are told to collect Acceptance Letter and Fee Structure for their child and to submit the required amount within a week of being informed. Payment for admission is taken ONLY in the form of pay-order (PO).
    2. Parents who come to submit the pay-order (PO) within the deadline are required to fill in an Admission form and submit the original pay-order (PO) with the relevant documents i.e Acceptance letter copy, 2 photocopies of original pay-order (PO).
    3. If the parent does not submit the pay-order within one week of acceptance letter issuance date, seat will no longer be available and the other candidates from the waiting list will be called to follow the admission procedure.

6. SCHOOL UNIFORM:

The Intellect School uniform can easily be purchased. The required address is
provided at the time of pay order submission.

8.FEE CONCESSION:

Financial Assistance for deserving students: financial assistance in the form of discount in admission and monthly tuition fees may be granted to any deserving candidate, provided the school management has assessed the child’s performance
to be above average and the guardian of the child genuinely finds it difficult to finance his/ her education expenses. In order to ascertain this, following documents shall be obtained from the guardians of the child:

  1. An application for financial assistance
  2. A declaration to the effect that the income of the guardian is not sufficient to support the school fees
  3. Copies of last paid utilities bills
  4. Any other document deemed necessary.

The Intellect offers a two-year programme of studies; at the end of each year students sit for the University of Cambridge AS and A Level examinations.

Candidates are admitted on the basis of O Level results, academic and cocurricular achievements, and recommendation from their previous institution.

For the A level programme, students can opt for a minimum of three and a maximum of four A Level subjects.

Subject choices are reviewed by the A level Coordinator and finalized after O Level results are submitted.

Candidates applying for admission should have completed a minimum of five O Level subjects (excluding Pakistan Studies and Islamiyat) with a minimum grade of B.

 

Candidates must submit the following supporting documents with their application:

a) Official school transcripts for classes IX, X and XI

b) Official or projected O Level grades.

c) Recommendation from the principal of the previous school

d) Teacher’s recommendation(s)

e) Copies of certificates for honours, awards and commendations

f) Three passport size colour photographs

g) 3 Copies of National ID cards of both parents and student. (Pakistani Nationals)

h) Copies of first two pages of passport of both the parents or guardian. (Foreign Nationals)

 

Candidates are responsible to ensure that their application and supporting documents are complete and submitted on time. The Intellect reserves the right to revoke admission or enrolment if any false, inaccurate or omitted information is found at any time during a student’s enrollment at The Intellect.

The Admission Committee reviews all applications and its decision is final.

Official O Level results must be submitted to the Admissions Office within seven days of being received by the candidate. Any significant variance from projected grades will be reviewed by the Admission Committee.

The students enrolled at The Intellect cannot sit for any other examination(s) without taking written permission from the principal.

 

Scholarships

Students are awarded scholarships in order to enable them to experience The Intellect’s unique learning experience and Islamic environment. We value deserving candidates who apply for cholarships, and make the best effort to accommodate them.

Requirements

Students who have received scholarships are expected to maintain high standards of academic performance and discipline.

A scholarship may be revoked if a student fails to meet the academic and behavioral expectations.
